　　俄羅斯東歐中亞研究所是中國社會科學院所屬的國際問題研究所之一，是國內(nèi)最大的以俄羅斯和東歐中亞為研究對象的綜合性學術研究機構。1965年6月30日建所，1966年劃歸中共中央聯(lián)絡部所屬，1981年1月改屬中國社會科學院。曾用名蘇聯(lián)研究所、蘇聯(lián)東歐研究所、東歐中亞研究所，2002年10月改用現(xiàn)名。

　　從20世紀80年代至今，俄羅斯東歐中亞研究所適應對象國的變化和國內(nèi)需要，先后圍繞原蘇東國家的政治經(jīng)濟體制改革、蘇東劇變、俄羅斯東歐中亞國家的政治經(jīng)濟轉軌、對象國的外交走向及其與中國的關系等重大歷史性課題，展開了全面系統(tǒng)的深入研究，撰寫、翻譯和編纂了數(shù)百部專著、譯著和大型工具書，撰寫了上萬篇論文和研究報告等。俄羅斯東歐中亞研究所的研究成果受到國內(nèi)外各界的高度重視，黨和國家領導人以及政府有關部委給予高度評價。俄羅斯東歐中亞研究所與俄羅斯、美國、日本等30多個國家建立了各種形式的學術交流關系。

　　俄羅斯東歐中亞研究所現(xiàn)有在職人員89人，其中專業(yè)技術人員77人，管理人員12人。下設8個研究室，即俄羅斯政治社會文化研究室、俄羅斯經(jīng)濟研究室、俄羅斯外交研究室、戰(zhàn)略研究室、中亞研究室、中東歐研究室、烏克蘭研究室和俄羅斯歷史文化研究室。設有俄羅斯東歐中亞雜志社，共出版兩種刊物，即《俄羅斯東歐中亞研究》和《歐亞經(jīng)濟》。代管中國社科院圖書館國際研究分館，館藏圖書22.7萬冊。設有科研組織處、辦公室兩個管理部門。俄羅斯東歐中亞研究所管理全國一級學會中國俄羅斯東歐中亞學會，同時管理三個院屬研究中心和一個智庫：中國社會科學院俄羅斯研究中心、中國社會科學院上海合作組織研究中心、中國社會科學院“一帶一路”研究中心和中俄戰(zhàn)略協(xié)作高端合作智庫。

At a Glance：Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, CASS

    Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is the largest research institute in China focusing on Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian studies. It was founded on June 30, 1965 and incorporated into Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in January, 1981. Formerly, the institute was called the Institute of Soviet Studies, Institute of Soviet and Eastern European Studies, and Institute of Eastern European and Central Asian Studies. It changed to the current name in October, 2002.

    With regional specializations in Eastern Europe and Eurasia, the institute has published hundreds of monographs, translations and large-scale reference books, and thousands of papers and research reports involving the political and economic reforms in the communist period, the fall of communism in Eastern Europe and disintegration of the Soviet Union, comprehensive transition in the new stage, and the diplomacy of Russia, Eastern European and Asian countries and their relations with China. The research results are highly valued by the academic circle at home and abroad as well as political leaders of Communist Party of China and the Chinese government. In addition to that, the institute has established various kinds of academic exchanges with universities and academic institutions in more than 30 countries including Russia, the United States, Japan, etc.

    Currently, the institute has 89 employees, including 77 professional researchers. It consists of 8 research divisions, namely Division of Russian Political, Social and Cultural Studies, Division of Russian Economic Studies, Division of Russian Diplomatic Studies, Division of Strategic Studies, Division of Central Asian Studies, Division of Central and Eastern European Studies, Division of Ukrainian Studies and Division of Russian History and Cultural Studies. An editorial office is placed under the institute, which is responsible for the publication of two academic journals, namely the Journal of Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies and Journal of Eurasian Economy. The institute also hosts the International Studies Branch of the Library of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences with a collection of 227,000 volumes and a national first-level association, the China Association of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Moreover, 3 research centers and 1 think tank, including the Center of Russian Studies, the Center of Shanghai Cooperation Organization Studies, the Center of Belt and Road Studies as well as the Council on China-Russia Strategic Coordination are affiliated to this institute.
